At the end of the song Hello Earth, a voice intones the words “Tiefer, tiefer, irgendwo in der Tiefe gibt es ein Licht.” This is German for “Deeper, deeper, somewhere in the depth there is a light.” This is credited to Gabi Zangerl in the album notes.
There is some speculation that it is in fact Kate Bush herself who speaks these words, but according to one report, Del Palmer and Paddy Bush stated that Gabi was a German friend who had come to visit some time during the period that the album Hounds of Love was being recorded. One Gabi Zangerl works at the Catholic girl’s school Sacre Coeur in Bregenz (Austria).
