Chuck is a formally-trained musician with a background in blues, rock, fusion, western classical and Hindustani classical music. In addition to studying guitar for many years, Chuck studied sitar with Ustad Surinder Mann and more recently with Roshan Bhartiya.
He assisted Grammy Award winning cellist David Darling in his Music for People workshop at the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, California in 2010. He performed with Jaya Lakshmi and Ananda, including their six week 2014 West Coast tour. He has also appeared at multiple festivals.
Chuck studied hand drumming with several master teachers including Grammy Award winner Glen Velez, Jim Greiner, Zorina Wolf and Jayson Fann.
In 1997, he contributed a cover version of Wuthering Heights for the fan-made compilation album Kate Bush Covered. On his website, there’s also a cover version of December Will Be Magic Again.
