Based in Berlin (Germany), Wasp Summer was formed by Australians Samantha Wareing, Simon Morrison and Alaskan drummer Ben Johnson. They released their debut album ‘Close As A Slow Dance’ in 2012.

In Berlin’s fertile music scene, Wareing curates Sofa Salon, monthly livingroom concerts and showcase events, and books shows from Paris to Budapest.

In 2014, Wasp Summer contributed a cover version of Under The Ivy to the album Running Up That Hill: Kate Bush Covers For Reproductive Rights.

In 2015, they started working on the album ‘Mitropa’, which is scheduled for release in 2018 or 2019.
