Shem ba’even (שם באבן) is the Hebrew translation of Kate Bush’s song Army Dreamers. Its literal meaning is ‘A Name On The Tombstone’. The song was created by Mazi Cohen and Matti Caspi. Recorded by Mazi Cohen (with Matti Caspi on backing vocals) on her self-titled debut album from 1988.
The song became a favourite on IDF Radio, the official Israeli Army radio station.
