Born in Upminster, Essex (UK) in 1986, Hope Murphy participated in the TV talent show ‘Britain’s got talent’ in 2012. She auditioned with This Woman’s Work, which in the television show she actually ascribed to Maxwell. Audience and jury react enthusiastically. After the broadcast, both the Maxwell and Kate Bush versions appeared in the iTunes UK Top 100 Song Downloads at number 22 (Maxwell) and number 25 (Kate Bush).
She participated in the show until the fifth semi-final, broadcast on 10 May 2012, where she was eliminated after performing ‘Forever Young’.
In 2016 she released ‘Born Ready’, a collaboration with Disco Fries.
