Mr. Sirius was a Japanese progressive rock band that formed in Osaka in 1986. The trio was masterminded by multi-instrumentalist Kazuhiro Miyatake, who worked with ex-Pageant member Hiroko Nagai (vocals, keyboards) and Chihiro Fujioka (drums). Their music was a mixture of symphonic and Canterbury styles with a strong classical feel. However, their music was also quite energetic and jazzy.
The band released three albums: Barren Dream (1987), Dirge (1990) and Incredible Tour (1992). On the last album they recorded a cover version of Babooshka.
Mr. Sirius disbanded in 1991.
