Mouse was formed in 1990 at Cafe Express in Evanston. Jackson Wilson and Jenny McNeilly were reprimanded and permanently separated from working shifts
together for talking too much, but not before arranging their first practice. This practice would also include their co-workers, drummer Alan
Eberhardt and Swedish-American bassist Eddie Carlson, who rounded out what quickly became a writing and recording machine.

The band released a single, ‘Caesar Salad’ (1991), but then Alan moved to Alabama and the band went on hiatus. Jenny married Mac, and he became the new drummer in Mouse. The band wrote and recorded a vast library of as yet unreleased material.

In 1998, Mouse contributed a cover version of Coffee Homeground to the fan-made compilation album I Wanna Be Kate.
