In 2013, 300 Kate Bush lookalikes gathered together in a park in Brighton (UK) to reenact Kate Bush’s first music video for Wuthering Heights (the so-called ‘red dress version’). The tribute was part of the Brighton Fringe Festival and organised by Shambush, a performance collective. It was an attempt to set an unofficial world record for the most people dressed as Kate Bush in one place.
The event inspired an annual day, organised since 2016. The Most Wuthering Heights Day took place in Australia, Canada, Germany, Israel, the Netherlands, Sweden and the USA that year, with other countries joining in in subsequent years. The date of the event changes every year, but it is usually held in mid-July.
