Tim McInnerny was born in Cheadle Hulme, Cheshire (UK) on 18 September 1956. He was educated at Marling School, Stroud, and Wadham College, Oxford. One of McInnerny’s first roles was the bumbling aristocrat Lord Percy Percy in the Blackadder series alongside Rowan Atkinson during the early 1980s. 

McInnerny portrayed Kate’s father-in-law in the Comic Strip Presents… film Les Dogs. In 1989, he co-starred with Kate Bush in the music video for her song This Woman’s Work.

McInnerny has also starred in various films including ‘Wetherby’, ‘101 Dalmatians’ and ‘Notting Hill’. In 2016, McInnerny joined the cast of the HBO series ‘Game of Thrones’.
