Sandra starred as Queenie in the musical ‘Showboat’ at the Sheffield Crucible, and then at the New London Theatre. She went on to play in the musical ‘Stepping Out’ with Amanda Holden, Tamzin Outhwaite, Natalie Casey, Nicola Stephenson and Tracy Ann Oberman in London’s West End. Other theatre shows include: City Of Angels (Donmar Warehouse), Ragtime, A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Regents Park Open Air Theatre), Porgy and Bess (The Savoy Theatre), Le Roi Lion (Paris) & Cool Hand Luke (The Aldwych Theatre).

She went on tour with Michael Ball OBE on his ‘If Everyone was Listening’ and ‘Heroes’ UK tours as a guest.

In 2014, Marvin sang backing vocals during the Before The Dawn live shows, which were recorded and released as Before The Dawn in November 2016.

She has also worked with many other artists, including Liam Gallagher, Alexandra Burke, Tim Burgess and The Charlatans, featuring on their album ‘Modern Nature’ and joining them on tour. She has also performed her solo show to sold out audiences.

Other TV appearances include Citizen Khan, The Royal Variety Show, and features on The Paul O’Grady Show, This Morning & BBC Children In Need. She also appeared in the movie ‘Florence Foster Jenkins’ starring Meryl Streep and Hugh Grant. Sandra also sang the lead vocal on the title track for the Sandra Bullock and George Clooney motion picture, ‘Gravity’.

In November 2017, Marvin joined the cast of the UK television series Emmerdale where she made her first appearance as Headteacher of Hotton Academy Jessie Grant.
