Born as Katie Malcomson in Dunfermline, she moved to Northampton when she was a child, together with her parents and her siblings.
She began her career releasing an EP in 2011 titled Katie Malco and the Slow Parade. A second EP, Tearing Ventricles followed in 2013. Her debut album, Failures, was released through the label on 5 June 2020.
Since then, she has released a handful of singles, available digitally. One of them was a version of Cloudbusting, released in 2021.
