Heavy metal band from Dallas, Texas (USA), fouded by Paula Smith and Steve Rabeler. The band’s name comes from a poem by Sir Walter Scott. Rabeler left after a year and was replaced by John Walker. When he and Paula Smith broke up over artistic differences, Paula found Bret Blade, and together with Walker (who returned after some time) they became Lochinvar.
In 1997, Lochinvar contribute a cover version of Running Up That Hill for the fan-made compilation Kate Bush Covered. Their self-titled debut album, released in 2001 was a compilation of demo releases, recorded in two sessions over a year. This was followed in 2005 by the album ‘Fire Eyes’.
Paula Smith was killed in a car accident in Marlow, Oklahoma on April 24, 2008. She was survived by her mother, Anna Faye Crawford, her son Christen Smith, and her daughter Rhiannon Smith.
