Himanshu Kumar Suri, better known by his stage name Heems, is an American rapper from Queens in New York City.
Best known for being part of the alternative hip hop group Das Racist, Suri is also the founder of Greedhead Music, an independent record label.
Suri has also written about music and all things South Asian for the Village Voice, Death and Taxes magazine, Fuse, Stereogum, and Alternet.
In 2012 he released the album Nehru Jackets, which featured the track Kate Boosh. It was followed by the albums Wild Water Kingdom (also 2012) and Eat Pray Thug (2016).
He is currently a member of Swet Shop Boys along with actor and rapper Riz MC and producer Redinho.
