The Fall Of Boromir is a painting by Derby-based artist Paul Gregory. The canvas measures 8′ by 4′ and was commissioned by Kate Bush in 1988 for £9,500 after seeing the artist’s work in a London exhibition.
The subject of the painting comes from Tolkien’s great story Lord Of The Rings. It is suggested that the style of the music video for The Sensual World was influenced by the style of this picture.
500 limited edition prints of The Fall Of Boromir were made available by the artists in 1989.
