Born as Roy Collins, Ellis Dee started making tracks as a DJ in the 1990’s. Starting with several volumes of ‘The Ellis Dee Project’ in 1992 on 12″, and playing at warehouse parties he made his name, co-promoting the Rave at the Cave with Chalk.E White. He also used to host a show on Sunrise FM. Ellis Dee became a headliner at events like Perception World Dance and Fantazia.

In 1994 he released ‘Big Up Your Chest’, with a sample from Wow.

As well as DJing, he also began to make his own music as part of Rhythm Section with breaks godfather Rennie Pilgrem. From acid house to hardcore to drum & bass and most recently breakbeat. Ellis Dee records on his own label, Point Break, with co-owner Syrus.
