Zenîma is of Middle Eastern origin and was born in Germany. She studied Architecture and Restoration and is an interior designer. She has acted in various theatrical pieces of Mishima. She studied at the University of Bologna and the Academy of Communication in Milan. Her first musical experiences were performances in churches and theatres, such as the Lirico of Milan, the Morlacchi of Perugia and the Politeama of Palermo. She took part in Sanremo Giovani in 1995 with the symphonic song ‘Butterfly (Kate)’ inspired by the painting ‘The Madness of Kate’ by Heinrich Füssli.

Her self-titled debut album, released in 1997, contains ‘Domani Dimenticherai’, an Italian cover of The man with a child in his eyes.
